If you sleep or wait, they spend that passing time getting closer to you. If you travel closer to them, they reach you sooner. This causes high level mercenary-type versions of enemies (gunners, raiders, BoS), to periodically spawn elsewhere in the map and start heading in your direction to kill you. Eddie's Peace has a flower for the barrel, etc etc. Reba II still does Mirelurk damage (I think), but the attachment is a Mirelurk claw for a stock. For example: Tinker Tom's Rifle has a legendary barrel that looks like it was pulled together from Institute tech, with the effect that it does bonus energy damage and causes massive damage to Institute members. These make it so those weapons have a legendarily ATTACHMENT with unique visuals and a special effect. You know how the "unique" weapons (Deliverer, Last Stand, Kellogg's Pistol, Tinker Tom's Rifle, etc.) are just specially named guns with normal legendary effects you can find in the wild? Not anymore. There are also plugins to travel to Nuka World and Far Harbor areas.

It's definitely one of the most "immersive" mods I've used. Plus, there's something fun about clearing out a bunch of bad guys, trying to get safely out of an area with your loot, and remembering that you gotta find your bike so you can leave. It's not as specific as Fast Travel, so it still encourages exploration, but not nearly as cumbersome as just walking around everywhere. It puts a motorcycle in the game that can store supplies and fast travel you to major cities and settlements. One of my favorites: Lone Wanderer Fast Travel.

I much, MUCH prefer it to VATS, as it's basically a version of VATS where I can free aim and run around and dodge bullets.įor Power Armor fans, the small tweaks I added were No Fusion Core drain, so I don't have to constantly replace cores and can spend my time playing the damn game Power Armor Quick Enter And Exit, which speeds up those animations and PowerArmorHud-NoTransparency, which makes it so all your HUD areas in the armor have a metal background (I personally think it looks better and more realistic). It creates a toggleable item you can hotkey that basically creates the slow time effect of Jet, at the cost of an AP drain over time.

I feel like it creates a creepy and anxiety inducing experience every time the sun sets in the Commonwealth.īullet Time. Together, these make nights and poorly lit interiors much darker, your flashlight's cone of vision much smaller, and ghouls way stronger during the night.

50 Caliber and Institute Weapon Fix (something like that) that makes the rechambered hunting rifle and the Institute Rifle more powerful Better Vanilla Shotguns, which makes the DB more powerful and the CS a little weaker Better Deliverer Mods, which gives the Deliverer more customization options Better Automatron Weapons, which makes those more powerful for late game Nuka World No Commando/Rifleman Reqs, which makes it so you only need the Gun Nut and Science perks to mod the Handmade Rifle and Western Revolver and See Through Scopes, which gives a scope option that doesn't create that "faded out" zoomed effect when ADS.ĭarker Nights, Curse of Darkness, and PipLight Flashlight. There's Lever Action Shotgun, which lets you rechamber the Lever Action Rifle to fire shotgun shells Lever Action Reload Fix, which corrects the reload so that only the right number of bullets is reloaded Fan The Hammer, which lets you rapid-fire the revolvers like a cowboy. There are also mods that (in my opinion) improve existing weapons. These include the Garand, the Colt, the Widow's Shotgun, the Schofield, the DKS, the Grease Gun, the Mosin Nagant, the Bozar, Grenade Expansion Pack 2, and several others (you could spend a while just scrolling through the weapons mod list to pick out the ones you like). Weapons! While I don't personally care for Modern Weapons and all those mods that add current-day ones, I love the ones that add lore friendly content (like WWI-WWII weapons or older Fallout guns). I personally enjoy the structural implant that removes fall damage and the eye implants that eventually let you cycle through all the different vision and targeting modes. As you become more of a cyborg, you feel more like a terminator. Turns you into a cyborg, and every five levels you can "upgrade" your character to have special abilities normally only achieved through high perk ranks or wearing power armor. I'll copy the recommendations I typed to someone else a few days ago:
